Emerson in Boulder, CO is seeking a Machinist II on 1st shift to set up and operate two or more production machines with close tolerances. You will read blueprints and follow written work instructions, maintaining quality through measurements and checks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, documenting quality data, and supporting Lean/5S initiatives; prior setup experience is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year as Machinist I (internal candidates) or 2+ years machining experience for external candidates.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions.
• Experience setting up and operating two or more machines.

Responsibilities

• Identify and set up work to be done on multiple production machines.
• Work on non-routine, moderately complex tasks requiring judgment.
• Ensure product and process quality through inspection and measurements.
• Document travelers and enter data; support quality reporting.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S+1, and continuous improvement.
