Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Machinist Team is responsible for assignment planning, layout, setup, operating, and making tool adjustments for various manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks, including cutting and shaping metal to precise dimensions, and communicating with engineers to understand part assembly purposes. Every team member maintains housekeeping and organization of the work area and follows TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machining equipment, perform setups, and offset changes.
  • Read, interpret blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Operate CMMs and digital inspection equipment.
  • Load and unload tumbler.
  • Adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot operations and flow issues with the team.
  • Perform quality checks and document defects.
  • Meet standards for quality and productivity.
  • Keep records of production quantities and time.
  • Work safely with hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area following procedures and regulations.
  • Provide training to others if needed.
Required Background
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 3 years of CNC operating experience.
  • US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency due to ITAR restrictions.
  • Use independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Follow instructions with high attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work overtime.
  • Ability to work in a team and confined space.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $45,800 – 68,600, depending on location and experience.
