Job summary

Hach (Veralto) in Loveland, CO, is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines in a continuous production environment. The role requires following SOPs, troubleshooting and contributing to process improvements on a onsite facility.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will handle calibration, testing and maintenance of equipment, and may cross-train on other lines. This position supports Veralto’s water quality mission and offers career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures with a limited degree of supervision.
• Proficiency developed through training and on-the-job experience.
• Provides solutions to problems in atypical or infrequent situations based on precedents.
• 3-6 months horizontal mill experience.

Reporting to the Area Manager , the Machinist II is responsible for setting up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.

This position is part of the Hach - Operations/Plant Management - Fab/Plastics/ChemKey Mfg Support located in Loveland, CO and will be Onsite.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Responsible for producing quality products per the build schedule
• May operate several production machines or operations simultaneously
• Report complicated equipment malfunctions to mechanics.
• May be responsible for handling of and accurate disposal of chemical and non-chemical waste, some of which is hazardous and regulated.
• Participate in team meetings, which includes planning daily work and resource utilization, problem solving, project work, etc.
• Maintain visual management of part and raw material storage; clean and organized work area.
• May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as needed

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures with a limited degree of supervision
• Has developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
• Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
• 3-6 months horizontal mill experience
