Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. in California is seeking a Cold Heading Operator to run and maintain production equipment, including cold heading and roll threading machines when required. You will ensure parts meet prints and perform preventative maintenance around tooling changes.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with cold heading equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints. A forklift license is preferred and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience operating cold heading equipment.
• Experience working in the Fastener industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Abides by all Safety practices put forth by the company.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Operates single and multi- blow cold heading machines and troubleshoots.
• Reads blueprints proficiently.
• Completes preventative maintenance (PM) plan prior to and after tooling changes.
• Responsible for ensuring parts are made to print and tooling is received to print.
• Inspects tooling and setup.
• Must be able to repair /maintainalltooland dies.
• Perform adjustments on machinery toassurea quality part is being made.
• Be able to safelyoperatea lift truck. Lift truck license preferred.
• Loadscoils ontospoolrack.
• Train and mentor lower level less experienced operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cold Heading Operator performs various skilled and complex tasks in running andmaintainingproduction equipment to meet the everyday needs of our customers. The Machine Operatoroperateseither Cold Heading or Roll Threading Machines in some cases both.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

5+ years of experienceoperatingcold heading equipment.

Experience working in the Fastener industry is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability tolift upto 50 lbs., and anythingoverrequires help and/or handling equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employeeis regularly required tostand for periods of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.
