Responsibilities

• Set up machines according to specifications.
• Operate vertical turning lathes, both CNC and manual.
• Indicate independent four jaw chuck.
• Read and edit programs using Fagor or Fanuc controls.
• Work from written procedures, complex drawings, blueprints, sketches, operation sheets, and specifications.
• Prove out programs and edits as needed.
• Know G-Code programming.
• Use and interpret precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust tool offsets to maintain dimensions per drawings.
• Monitor machine operations for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Report inefficiencies, defective materials, and machining issues.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Operate CNC machines.
• Read and edit G&M code programming.
• Use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle large and heavy parts with material handling equipment.
• Work in a shop environment, sometimes in tight spaces.
• Physical ability to perform setups and machining operations, including lifting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the US.
