Job description

This position is for 1st shift; Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

Under the direction of the Manager, the Machinist is responsible for CNC programming in our machine shop.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Service all process development and machine building requirements for plants located in Suffolk County and other USA locations.
2. Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain regular work attendance.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

• Knowledge of setup and operating techniques for metalworking machine tools, primarily milling operations such as Mill, Lathe, Grinder, etc.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with CNC machinery required.
• Ability to perform minor editing in programs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Ability to set up and operate machinery.

SKILLS:

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Capable of multi-tasking and following up as needed.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $26.80-$33.49. Please note that this pay range is an estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
