Astroseal Products in Connecticut is seeking a Machinist/Facilities Support Technician to join our team. You will be the facility’s primary hands-on machinist and mechanical support technician, manufacturing, modifying, and repairing precision parts, tooling, fixtures, and machine components while maintaining equipment and shop safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on manual machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to set up and operate lathes/mills, inspect parts, and complete routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and related equipment to produce parts.
• Plan machining sequences, select materials, cutters, speeds, and feeds; perform turning, milling, deburring, finishing.
• Inspect materials and completed work with precision tools; verify tolerances and function before release.
• Diagnose mechanical failures; disassemble, repair, and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Provide hands-on facilities support for shop and building needs; coordinate with contractors when required.
