CNC Machinist & Programmer (Full-Time)

Job Description
The CNC Machinist & Programmer will have a minimum of 4 or more years of experience in CNC machine setup, programming, and operation. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, with proficiency reading blueprints is essential for this position. The items to be machined consist of a variety of aluminum and steel plates along with various machine frame weldments. Experience with G-code preferred. This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings to determine dimensional criteria, tolerances, geometric dimensioning
- Perform set-ups and programming for CNC operation
- Program machine for operation
- CNC machining of parts on Haas Vertical Mill and/or MultiCam Router
- Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
- Maintain tooling for the machine as needed
- Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be
- Provided strong customer support on a as need basis
- Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Industrial Profile Systems
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC machining experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with Haas controls
- Knowledge and/or experience with CAD/CAM Software is a plus but not required
- Knowledge and experience with G-code preferred
- Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Intermediate math skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Well organized with an aptitude for details and precision machining
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
