We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The right candidate must be able to work independently, reading blueprints, milling, drilling, turning, setting up, and operating CNC Milling and CNC Lathing machines with minimal supervision. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Weekly Pay - Starting wage of $30.00 to $32.00 an hour or higher based on experience
- Schedule - Monday through Friday (no weekends) 7 am-3:30 pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpiece, the sequence of operations needed to manufacture parts, and the setup requirements.
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on the material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Verifies conformance of the finished workpiece to specifications.
- Set up and operate the machine on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Fit and assemble parts into a complete assembly.
- Verify dimensions and alignment of the assembly.
- Install machined parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test the unit's operation to ensure functionality and performance.
- Develop specifications from a general description and sketch the part or product to be fabricated.
- Communicate with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to exchange technical information.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and other gauges.
- Ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools, as well as various specialized and advanced models, to machine parts according to specifications.
- Monitor the feeding and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
- Selects the appropriate tools, machines, and materials for preparing machine work.
- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust stains, and foreign matter.
- Collaborate with programmers to verify that new programs or machinery function properly, ensuring that output meets specifications and operates efficiently.
- Design and manufacture fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
- Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications to improve efficiency and adaptability to the setup and production process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Certification or degree in CNC programming, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of the certification.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking long distances, stooping, crawling, climbing, and crouching are required for the position many times a day or for extended periods.
- Above average computer, reading, communication (verbal and written), and shop math skills.
