Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM is seeking Machinists to set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines, ensuring parts meet specification and quality requirements. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

Hours 3:30pm - 2am. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years in a production/shop setting, with strong math, communication skills, and the ability to document work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and verify proper fit of connections and sub-assemblies per order.
• Use precision tools to inspect finished parts for accuracy.

Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM is seeking Machinists. In this role you will set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. This position requires considerable attention to detail to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards. Your Expertise:

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Your Challenge:

• Primary duty to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have two years of experience in a production/shop position.
