Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE WEST CHESTER OEM in West Chester, OH is seeking Machinists to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Attention to detail and productivity are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least two years of production/shop experience, with the ability to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively. Hours are 3:30pm–2am, on site.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to meet specifications and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using gauges and calipers to assure conformity.
• Complete paperwork documenting the quality of parts completed.
• Assemble components by inspecting connections for correct fit and fastening.
• Use precision measuring tools to check dimensions and fit.

Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM is seeking Machinists. In this role you will set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. This position requires considerable attention to detail to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards. Hours 3:30pm - 2am

Your Expertise:

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Your Challenge:

• Primary duty to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have two years of experience in a production/shop position.
