Job summary

PPC Partners seeks a Machinist Assembler to support the production and fabrication of electrical devices and components. You will interpret drawings, select materials, and assemble to specification while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and documenting activities.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and continuous improvement as part of our manufacturing team. Prior experience in mechanical assembly is valued and you will work in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • 0-1+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Troubleshooting, Machining, Assembly, or Mechatronics.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical devices, systems, and components according to provided instructions, drawings, or prints.
  • Measure, cut, bend, label, and paint components per design requirements using appropriate tools.
  • Fit and assemble mechanical or electrical components according to specifications.
  • Perform fabrication tasks using tools.
  • Identify and resolve issues that affect proper operation.

Job description

Role, Function & Organization

The Machinist Assembler plays a key role in supporting the production and fabrication of electrical devices, systems, and components. This position is responsible for interpreting design drawings and assembly instructions, selecting appropriate materials, and using various tools and equipment to assemble projects to specification. In addition, the Assembler is involved in material handling, inventory organization, and packaging of finished products. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety, quality control, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assembly & Fabrication:

  • Assemble electrical devices, systems, and components according to provided instructions, drawings, or prints
  • Measure, cut, bend, label, and paint components per design requirements using appropriate tools
  • Fit and assemble mechanical or electrical components according to specifications
  • Perform fabrication tasks using tools
  • Identify and resolve issues that affect proper operation
Material Handling & Organization
  • Handle incoming and outgoing materials (includes loading/unloading, organizing inventory, and packing finished products)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
  • Maintain proper documentation and communicate issues or updates with supervisors
Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination
  • Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
  • Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • 0-1+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Troubleshooting, Machining, Assembly, or Mechatronics
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
Experience, Skill And Abilities
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent time spent in warehouse and shop, exposing employee to noise and moving machinery
  • Lift at least 50 pounds
  • Constant moving on your feet
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
