Qualifications

  • Proven ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, journeyman-level Machinist III to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will program, set up, operate, and maintain advanced CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision components for a variety of applications.

This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who enjoys owning the entire manufacturing process, from programming and setup through inspection and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also serve as a technical mentor and resource for less experienced machinists.

Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam and CAD/CAM software.
  • Manufacture precision components while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery expectations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
  • Design and build specialty fixtures to support machining operations.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of machine shop equipment, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, tumblers, saws, and other supporting equipment.
  • Fix machining processes and recommend improvements for quality, efficiency, and tool life.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and support preventative maintenance activities.
  • Mentor and train junior machinists to help develop technical capabilities across the team.
  • Safely operate multiple machines and manage production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman-level machining experience or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Mastercam and CAD/CAM programming.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools.
  • Proven ability to independently set up, program, and operate CNC equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and mentor others.
