Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future and have fun along the way.

The role involves interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determining the sequence of operations, number of cuts, and setup methods; utilizing machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; performing standard shop calculations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds; laying out stock for machining; and fitting and assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment, including material and parts selection.
- Some machines may be numerically controlled. The machinist may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically, completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience is required.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and write programs for CNC machines using engineering specifications and drawings.
- Analyze engineering drawings to define part configurations and determine machine operation sequences.
- Create programs for machining parts and tools on CNC machines.
- Select appropriate cutters for each part, considering speeds, cutter types, feeds, and control system limitations.
- Choose program routines for efficient computation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent trade school completion.
- Strong working knowledge of Master CAM software.
- Extensive experience with HAAS vertical & horizontal milling machines.
- Ability to set up and operate various machine tools to produce parts to exact tolerances.
