Position Details:

• Hours: 4:30 pm - 1:00 am, Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays.
• Compensation: Competitive hourly pay in Chicago, with eligibility for annual short-term incentives. Details provided in the JOB INFO section.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate CNC Machinist to coordinate our machining operations. You will work in a production environment, tending machines, and ensuring productivity and quality after initial training. Tasks involve manual dexterity and repetitive motions, requiring attention to detail and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deburring parts using hand and power tools.
• Operating metal finishing equipment.
• Inspecting parts with various measurement tools.
• Handling lubricants like cutting oil and coolant.
• Changing dull cutting tools as needed.
• Completing courses at S&C Continuous Improvement Institute.

Qualifications:

• Ability to set up and operate metal cutting and finishing machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understanding of shop math.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking frequently.
• Frequent lifting of components up to 50 lbs.
• Carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching as required for tasks.
