Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining industrial machines
• Producing precision tools
• Interpreting technical drawings and instructions
• Ensuring that all operations adhere to safety protocols
• Checking that all equipment produced works correctly
• Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
• Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly
• Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise
• Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects
• Read blueprints and sketches
• Properly set up, program, operate and disassemble CNC mills and lathes, as well as manual mills and lathes
• Use CNC software
• Use precision measuring tools
• Monitor machine speed
• Analyze products for quality and defects
• Smooth part or product surfaces
• Make part modifications as required
  
  

Qualification / Requirements

• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
• Proven experience as machinist
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Good at math with analytical abilities
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
