Job summary

Pentair Delavan, WI is seeking a Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and run CNC lathes and mills, read drawings, select tooling, and verify parts with precision gauges to ensure tight tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-mindedness are valued.

First shift hours are 6:00am–2:00pm with occasional overtime. We offer a competitive hourly wage of $30.00–$32.00/hr DOE and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years CNC machining experience.
• Must have GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math.
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly.

• Face, turn, bore, chamfer, grove, thread, drill, tap and wash parts.
• Set up machines where procedures are standardized.

We have an opportunity for a Machinist to join our Delavan, WI team. You will set up, gage, and run production on castings using CNC lathes or mills, including full tooling and fixturing setup, precision measurement, and machining operations to maintain tight tolerances. Candidates with limited experience, but strong mechanical aptitude and the right attitude are encouraged to apply!

You will:

• Perform operations necessary to face, turn, bore, chamfer, grove, thread, drill, tap, and wash a variety of materials and parts
• Set-up machines where detail and operating procedures are standardized and obvious
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, precision measuring equipment, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools and refractometer
• May be required to read part drawings and use adjustable and fixed gauges to check work
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform routine maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent
• 3 – 5 years of CNC machining experience required
• Must have GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly
• Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 30lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!):

• 1st shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm Monday - Friday
• Occasional mandatory overtime required

Compensation:

• The hourly pay for this role is: $30.00 - $32.00/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

HIRING BONUS

• $1000 Hiring Bonus - The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
