Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Machinist for the 2nd shift in Delavan, WI. You will set up, gauge, and run production on castings using CNC lathes or mills, including full tooling and fixturing setup, precision measurement, and machining to maintain tight tolerances.

Requires 3+ years in CNC mill/lathe setups, GD&T and print comprehension, and the ability to multi-task to keep production running smoothly. The shift is 2:00 pm–10:00 pm with 8% differential; pay is $28–$30 per hour DOE with benefits.

• Maintain coolant ratios and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Face, turn, bore, chamfer, groove, thread, drill, tap, and deburr a variety of materials.

Machinist 2nd shift - Delavan, WI

We have an opportunity for a Machinist to join our Delavan, WI team. You will set up, gage, and run production on castings using CNC lathes or mills, including full tooling and fixturing setup, precision measurement, and machining operations to maintain tight tolerances. Candidates with limited experience, but strong mechanical aptitude and the right attitude are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Handle full CNC setups to include tooling, work holding, fixturing, and loading programs.
• Utilize CNC equipment, manual machines, overhead hoists, hand tools/power tools/air tools, and fractometer.
• Know how to use precision measuring gages to include calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks etc. to check dimensions.
• Read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Make offsets and minor edits to keep parts in tolerance.
• Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Perform operations necessary to face, turn, bore, chamfer, grove, thread, drill, tap, and deburr a variety of materials and parts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Mill and Lathe setup and operation experience, preferred but not required.
• Must have GD&T and print comprehension and understand shop math.
• Must be able to multi-task to keep production running smoothly.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs.

Position Hours / Shift

2nd shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime available. 8% shift differential for 2nd shift.

Compensation

Hourly pay: $28 to $30 per hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Pay may vary based on achievements, skills, and experience.

Hiring Bonus

$1,000 hiring bonus – payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. Subject to repayment if employment terminates within one year.
