Job summary

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments.
• Provide feedback on best practices for manufacturability.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of advanced machining practices and the ability to determine safest machining procedures.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and electronic equipment.
• Ability to use various types of tools and equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of machining standards and exotic materials.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an automobile.
• Ability to work beyond normal workday or workweek.
• Able to travel.
