Job Description
BAE Norfolk Ship Repair is seeking a qualified mechanic to assist with facilities maintenance in the Boiler/Compressor Division.
Key Responsibilities & Functional Knowledge:
This list represents the key areas of responsibility and functional knowledge required of a first-class mechanic in the Weld shop. A first-class mechanic must demonstrate advanced knowledge of the skills, functional knowledge, and abilities needed to perform tasks in these and related areas.
Advanced knowledge means understanding how to perform tasks independently, including familiarity with equipment, protective gear, and machinery required to complete these tasks.
Compressor/Boiler Room:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the safe operation and maintenance of high-pressure compressed air and steam boiler systems and associated auxiliary systems.
