Job Title: Machinist
Job Description

This role involves setting up and operating CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts and components according to detailed technical specifications. You prepare and adjust machine settings, tools, and materials for each job to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and quality. You continuously monitor machine performance, make real-time adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficient production and minimize downtime. You perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper setup and high-quality output, while consistently following safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts and components in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.

  • Prepare and adjust machine settings, tools, and materials for each job to ensure optimal performance and proper alignment.

  • Continuously oversee machine performance during production, monitoring output and making real-time adjustments as needed.

  • Troubleshoot machine and process issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency and minimize production delays.

  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools or parts.

  • Interpret and understand blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate machine setup and part production.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and consistently wear necessary protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Identify machine or material problems and resolve them quickly to ensure high-quality output and reduce scrap.

  • Carry out general production and assembly tasks related to machining operations as needed.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.

Essential Skills
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills and lathes.

  • Ability to work with HAAS mill and lathe equipment.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.

  • Ability to hold tight tolerances, including working to specifications of approximately .003".

  • Hands-on experience in production, assembly, or general labor within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.

  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on CNC equipment.

  • Commitment to following safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.

  • Experience operating laser or other related machining equipment.

  • Background in general production or assembly work in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift role in a manufacturing environment working with CNC equipment, including HAAS mills and lathes, and potentially laser machinery. The schedule offers flexibility, with the option to work four 10-hour days Monday through Thursday or four 8-hour days Monday through Friday. Start times are flexible between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM. The facility follows established safety procedures, and you are expected to use appropriate protective equipment while working around machinery and production processes.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $50000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
