POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Machinist - 1st shift, Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. The Machinist operates CNC and conventional machines to fabricate parts. Responsibilities include loading parts, cycling machines, detecting malfunctions, running production lots, and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment. The role supports Sonaca North America’s Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other company policies, emphasizing customer satisfaction, quality, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teamwork, accountability, and respect for people.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load/unload parts on CNC machines to support maximum spindle utilization
• Inspect and monitor parts during and after machining
• Deburr and blend machined parts
• Perform daily maintenance, including maintaining fluid levels, chip removal, and cleaning
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
• Additional skills required: basic math, reading blueprints, and measuring with calipers/micrometers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred; candidates without may need to pass a pre-employment assessment
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; ITAR/EAR clearance required
• 2 years’ CNC machining experience or enrollment in a machining program at a technical college

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Work in environments with noise levels from quiet to loud
• Wear PPE such as eye, ear, and foot protection
• Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
