Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Roll Forming group. The ideal candidate will operate various machine tools to produce precision parts and read technical drawings.

You will set up and adjust lathes, milling machines, EDM wire cutting machines and maintain tools. Proficiency with CAM software and SolidWorks helps, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a machinist.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical and math skills.
• Experience operating CNC machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine part specifications.
• Set up and adjust machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and EDM wire cutting machines.
• Maintain and repair machine tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts.
