About the Role:

Perform complete and independent setup of various machines such as lathes, mill/drill, and surface grinder, working from O.I.S., prints, tapes, sketches, oral and written instructions to determine the sequence of operations, dimensions, tolerances, tools to use, and methods of locating, aligning, and holding work, including feeds and speeds.

What You Will Do:

• Make machine adjustments to ensure efficient machining operations. Use precision measuring instruments, machines, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
• Pre-set and/or sharpen cutting tools as needed.
• Recognize improper machine functions, take corrective actions, and communicate issues to resolve discrepancies.
• Replenish coolant, change accessible filters, and lubricate your machine tools as required.
• Inspect and report any damage.

What You Have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent. May require completing an apprenticeship or formal training in your area of specialty, with 0-2 years of experience in the field or related areas.
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures within your field.
• Typically reports to a team lead, supervisor, or manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience.
• CNC experience with the ability to make corrections in programming.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.

Summary Pay Range:

$25.07 - $37.61
