Danfoss is seeking a 2nd shift Machinist for our Freeport, IL facility. You will operate and set up conventional, NC, and specialized machines to precisely machine steel and brass parts.

The role offers a wage of $26.93-$29.00 per hour plus a 7% shift differential, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Benefits begin on day one and include a comprehensive package and PTO.

The Impact You'll Make

We have an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Machinist to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. The Machinist will operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to accurately machine steel and brass components. The wage range for this position is $26.93 - $29.00, plus a 7% shift differential. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available, with $750 paid after 3 months and $750 after 6 months.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides.
• Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
