Job summary

Danfoss Shawnee, OK is seeking a Machinist for 1st shift to operate conventional and NC machines, fabricating metallic and nonmetallic parts. This on-site, full-time role runs 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, requiring a high school diploma or GED and machining certification or equivalent experience.

You will follow standard work, support TPM and continuous improvement, and inspect parts with gauges to ensure tolerances while maintaining a safe workspace and collaborating with the team.

The Impact You'll Make

Operates and maintain setups of conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining\ centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

This is a 1st Shift position, working 6:00 am to 4:00 pm - Monday through Friday.

• Operates and monitors multiple machines, ensuring proper cycle times and efficient production.
• Adheres to standard work instructions, control plans, quality requirements, and all manufacturing processes.
• Performs Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sets up, operates, and dismantles assembly and subassembly workstations, including fixture, tool, and material installation.
• Inspects and verifies parts using gauges and measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications and tolerances.
• Prioritizes assignments, solves problems proactively, and makes timely decisions to support productivity and quality objectives.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and customer focus while maintaining effective communication and supporting employee development.

What We're Looking For

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED required
Machining certification from a technical school, or equivalent experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure

manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
