Job summary

CUBRC INC is seeking a skilled machinist to fabricate tunnel parts and models for high-speed wind tunnel testing. The role involves operating CNC and manual mills and lathes to tight tolerances within the Aerosciences group.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of machining experience, CNC milling expertise, and CAD/CAM proficiency. Hub hours may vary with projects; 401(k) and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant education and job experience.
• Experience machining various materials on CNC equipment.
• 3-axis CNC milling experience required, 4/5th axis experience desirable.
• CAD/CAM experience required, but training assistance is available.
• Good understanding of general machine shop equipment and inspection tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings to set up and prep jobs, and understand dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
• Applicant must possess the basic hand tools to perform their job within the scope of duties.
• Willing to work flexible or extended hours on an as needed basis.

Description

Position Summary:

Candidate would be a member of the CUBRC Aerosciences group involved with high-speed wind tunnel testing. Primary responsibilities include operating CNC and manual mills and lathes to fabricate tunnel parts or models to precise tolerances.

Salary Description

$33 - $40 per hour
