Job summary

CUBRC INC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Machinist to operate CNC and manual mills and lathes to fabricate wind tunnel components with precision.

You will receive hands-on training and expand responsibilities as you gain proficiency in both manual and CNC machining while supporting wind tunnel testing and component fabrication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Machining AOS degree is preferred, but applicants with shorter Machining Certification are encouraged to apply.
• CAD, inspection, and machining experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow directions and fully complete all assigned tasks.
• Position may require standing, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Willing to work flexible or extended hours on an as needed basis.

Description

Position Summary:

Candidate selected for this position will be a member of the CUBRC Aerosciences Group and will support high-speed wind tunnel testing. Primary responsibilities include operating CNC and manual mills and lathes, with guidance, to fabricate wind tunnel components and models to precise specifications and tolerances. Responsibilities involving both manual and CNC machining will expand as the employee gains experience through hands-on training and demonstrated proficiency.

Salary Description:

$23 - $26 per hour
