Job summary

MiTek in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate conventional mills, lathes, and other machines using Lean and 5S. You will interpret drawings, select tools, and inspect parts to ensure tolerances are met.

Requirements include a High School/GED and 2+ years of experience; technical certification is preferred. The role demands safety, accuracy, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify steel types and sizes required for the job
• Interpret blueprints and specs to set up machining operations
• Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, saws)
• Inspect finished parts and record results
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Select appropriate cutting tools and set speeds/feeds
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues
• Attend shift on time and comply with overtime when required
