Responsibilities
Set up and operate turning machine to turn, bore, thread, or face metal materials
Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, work orders, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
Identify steel types and sizes needed (HRS and CRS) for the job
Read measuring devices (Imperial and Metric) and inspect finished parts
Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds for machining operations
Attend shift on time and be available for mandatory overtime when necessary
