Job summary

Timken Aurora Bearing facility is hiring Machine Operators for assembly, grinding, turning and related machinery. Pay starts at $18.50–$19/hr with an additional $1.50 for 2nd shift, plus comprehensive benefits and on‑the‑job training for growth.

Roles include operating presses, lathes, mills and grinders, reading blueprints, and using micrometers and calipers to ensure prints and quality specs are met. 1st and 2nd shifts available with day and afternoon schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with blueprints reading ability.
• Experience in manufacturing and machine operation preferred.
• Knowledge of gauges and micrometers is a plus.
• Good communication and shop math skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust production machinery per prints and specs.
• Check parts for fit and quality using gauging tools.
• Set up machine parameters as needed for start of runs.
• Run first piece parts and document setup approvals.
• Load parts, cycle equipment, inspect regularly, and adjust.
• Maintain machine operation and monitor fluid levels.
