Job summary

Timken Aurora Bearing Company is seeking 1st and 2nd Shift Component CNC Machinists to perform a variety of functions within our component production departments while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines, loading parts, inspecting components, and maintaining gauges. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth at Timken.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary or trades/technical education and certifications preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and shop math competencies.
Ability to read blueprints and utilize gauging equipment.
Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, suppliers, and plant leadership.
1-2 years minimum setup experience.

Responsibilities

Set-up and operate component parts from bar stock, O.D. and I.D. size, facing, chamfer, grooving, drilling or other machine requirements.
Load parts, cycle machine, check parts at designated intervals per inspection plan and adjust to maintain quality per print.
Run 1st piece part and make necessary quality adjustments.
Package and tag parts and complete required paperwork.
Maintain all machine fluid levels.
Sign out gauging equipment and set gauges per print specifications.
