Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Jamestown, NY is seeking a Machining Team Manager to lead daily activities of a production team across three shifts, delivering the Production Plan while prioritizing safety, quality, delivery and cost.

You will coach and develop direct reports, manage timekeeping and attendance, drive 5S and ergonomic improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and execute corrective actions.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily Production Plan across all three shifts and maximize output.
• Lead, coach, and develop a production team with strong engagement and performance.
• Manage direct reports' performance and timekeeping; enforce attendance policies.
• Champion health and safety; lead 5S, safety and ergonomic projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to close Corrective Action Responses.
• Lead projects from initiation to completion; drive measurable improvements.
• Build strong manager-employee relationships and consistent policy application.
