Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Seymour, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a 2nd shift at the Seymour Machining Center, overseeing machining operations for 78L/95L blocks and driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will coach hourly DWU team members, set clear expectations, perform root-cause analysis on issues, and apply continuous improvement to reduce waste and strengthen process capability, with on-site presence Tuesday–Friday 3:00 PM–2:00 AM.

Qualifications

• College, university or equivalent degree required.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of a production team to meet targets.
• Oversee machining operations for 78L/95L blocks at Seymour Machining Center.
• Coach hourly DWU employees for safe, high-quality output.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze needs and make informed production decisions.
• Document and address work rule violations and defects; implement actions.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste and raise quality.
