Job summary

Century Arms is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC to drive the development of programs for mills, lathes, EDM, and related equipment. You will work with NPD and Sustainment teams to create efficient, high-precision production processes from raw materials to finished parts.

The role requires hands-on capability, strong CAM experience, and a focus on continuous improvement through Lean methods and data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years CNC programming experience with CAM software.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, G-code, and toolpath optimization.
• Experience with CAD/CAM integration and GD&T.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs using CAM software based on drawings and models.
• Apply machining strategies and parameters to optimize processes.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutions.
• Select cutting tools and tooling for materials and tolerances.
• Analyze and optimize processes to improve cycle times and reduce scrap.
• Conduct time studies and tool life analyses.
• Implement Lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste.
• Create and maintain CNC programs, setup instructions, and process docs.
• Provide training and technical support to machinists.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
