Machining Manager

This person will lead the Machining Production Department in a way that supports the company, customers, and employees. This person will support the departmental leadership and employees to successfully meet goals and objectives by providing guidance, technical expertise, and resources needed in order to be safe and productive.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assist in upgrading the supervisory and operator’s talent and skills bases to achieve growth and meet market needs such as reduced cost, efficient production cycle times, uptimes, and reliable delivery
• Research plan, target, and control reductions in costs of operations. Achieve yearly financial objectives.
• Ensure that operating plans and methods to achieve maximum plant performance and reliability
• Promote and practice “safety first” by immediately addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe conditions within the manufacturing floor and workstations.
• Ensure team members attend daily shift communications and weekly safety trainings so that they may receive all relevant safety training and communication in a timely manner
• Ensure priorities for all production employees are safety, quality, and delivery
• Lead the team in meeting or exceeding our quality goals and objectives

Requirements

• Previous Automotive industry experience is beneficial
