Modern Industries in Erie County is looking for a Lead Production Engineer to oversee CNC machining and manufacturing processes. The role includes managing quality control, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing CNC programming. This position requires technical proficiency and the ability to mentor engineering staff while achieving divisional production metrics effectively.
Lead production and manufacturing activities of the division associated with CNC machining and all other manufacturing processes, including quality control and the current engineering /project leader staff, to attain long and short-term divisional metrics directly associated with machining production operations performance. Manage a successful measurable continuous improvement program as it relates directly to operations efficiency and cost.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, three years minimum practical production machining experience, and three years minimum in a manufacturing leadership role. Eight years of progressive experience in advanced manufacturing engineering may substitute for the degree requirement. Must be proficient with current computer software in the areas of inventory, manufacturing, engineering, and financial information.
