Hawthorne Cat in California seeks a Machinery Service Tech 1 (Rentals) to diagnose and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment with minimal supervision. You will document work, order parts, and ensure repairs meet flat rate times while supporting a safe field and shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of experience repairing Caterpillar products or other heavy equipment.
• Apprenticeship or technical school program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and diagnose issues on Caterpillar and allied equipment.
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble, test and adjust assemblies.
• Complete service reports documenting repairs and diagnostics.
