Job summary

Curtiss-Wright – Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Machine/Waterjet Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 12:00pm–10:00pm). You will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines and follow process sheets or supervisor instructions to produce parts.

Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment, verifying product quality at specified intervals, performing in-process inspections, and checking output against tolerances.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Math skills for basic Calculations (fractions to decimals).
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (dial calipers, micrometers, tapes).
  • Basic PC skills expected.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Mechanical ability to maintain/repair equipment.
  • Knowledge of CNC/CAD/CAM is recommended.

Machine/Waterjet Operator - 2nd shift SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE

As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate a wide variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of our products. You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks. Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area) Schedule: Monday- Thursday (12:00pm - 10:00pm) Pay Range: $21-$23/hour Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ohio. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge:

Accurately following and interpreting instructions, procedures and drawings Setting-up, operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of the company's product in order to carry out manufacturing processes Verifying quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work May be responsible for in-process inspections Checking and inspecting operation results against predetermined tolerances

What You Bring:

High School Diploma or equivalency required Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Math skills – ability to complete basic calculations e.g. converting fractions to decimals Knowledge of measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. Basic PC Skills Ability to operate a fork-truck Basic mechanical ability to maintain / repair equipment Knowledge of CNC / CAD / CAM (Recommended)
