Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to service and optimize Graco hand, semi-automatic, CNC, and related production equipment in our Utah facility.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform multi-disciplinary repairs, and lead other mechanics while maintaining precise records and inventory. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics/Hydraulics/Robotics or related field.
• 128 hours of maintenance/machining programs after the degree.
• Two years as CNC Machine Mechanic B or 9+ years of similar maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble equipment.
• Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, gearboxes, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to guide and mentor coworkers.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble and adjust machines to keep Graco hand, semi-automatic, CNC, and other production equipment in good working order.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and consult with management as necessary.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, machining, aligning, machine rebuilding, electronic, and testing operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs on company-owned machine tools, assembly equipment, and manufacturing assets.
• Support departmental personnel as workload dictates and mentor other mechanics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Minimize waste by caring for products, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and use proper PPE.
• Diagnose and repair difficult malfunctions and obtain or fabricate replacement parts.
• Mentor newly hired Mechanics at various levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, or related field
• Minimum of 128 hours of maintenance/machining programs after obtaining the associate degree
• Either two years of experience as a CNC Machine Mechanic B or equivalent previous experience with maintenance of CNC machining equipment (9+ years of similar experience)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble equipment efficiently
• Experience with electrical systems, programmable logic control systems, hydraulic pumps/systems, gearboxes/transmissions, and pneumatic systems
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and electrical schematics
• Proficient working knowledge of electronic controls
• Ability to adjust machine physical placement and parameters to original specifications
• Ability to work independently and follow work direction
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lead and instruct co-workers
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future
