Qualifications

• Experience with machine alignment and precision fitting.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Familiarity with machine commissioning and equipment startup.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine tools and automated machinery per drawings and specs.
• Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
• Align, level, and adjust components to tolerances.
• Perform precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct machine startup, testing, alignment, and verification.
• Assist with installation, relocation, retrofits, and rebuild projects.
• Collaborate with electricians, controls technicians, engineers, and programmers during commissioning.
• Maintain accurate assembly records and ensure safety standards.

You will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding machine tools and automated manufacturing equipment. This position works from engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, and specifications to build precision equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards are met.POSITION TYPE: Full time. Direct Hire. In Plant.PAY: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour based on skills and years of experience.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required and Technical training in machine building, industrial maintenance, machining, or related field preferred.3+ years of experience building, assembling, or repairing industrial machinery or machine tools preferred.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.Experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience assembling CNC machine tools, automation systems, transfer lines, or robotic equipment.Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and mechanical power transmission systems.Experience with machine alignment, leveling, and precision fitting.Familiarity with machine commissioning and equipment startup.Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong mechanical troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of precision assembly techniques and machining practices.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Experience with bearings, linear motion systems, gearboxes, and machine components.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and organizational skills.Basic computer skills for documentation and production reporting.Duties and Responsibilities of the Machine Tool BuildersAssemble machine tools, production equipment, and automated machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications.Install mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.Align, fit, level, and adjust machine components to required tolerances.Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, precision levels, and other measuring instruments.Install bearings, ball screws, guide rails, spindles, gearboxes, motors, couplings, and drive components.Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of materials, schematics, and technical documentation.Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and recommend corrective actions.Perform machine startup, testing, alignment, and functional verification.Assist with equipment installation, machine relocation, retrofits, and rebuild projects.Work closely with electricians, controls technicians, engineers, and programmers during machine commissioning.Maintain accurate assembly records and documentation.Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in assembly processes and equipment reliability.Physical RequirementsFrequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.Lift and carry up to fifty pounds.Work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, and industrial noise.Ability to distinguish wire colors and safely perform electrical testing.May be required to work overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency equipment failures.Working ConditionsManufacturing or industrial facility environment.Exposure to electrical hazards, machinery, oils, lubricants, dust, heat, and noise.Required use of appropriate safety equipment.If you are a high performer and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to apply to this job and email your resume to [e-mail] treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
