Job summary

Litehouse Foods in Hurricane, UT is seeking a Machine Technician I for night shifts (6pm–6am). The role operates and maintains production machines, performs routine changeovers, and upholds food-safety standards. Great benefits and an opportunity to grow within a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Fully trained and experienced in operating one production machine.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery to ensure efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
• Perform changeovers and washes meeting specifications.
• Maintain clean work area and follow housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to Food Safety policies and report safety/quality concerns.
• Ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.

Location: Hurricane, UT
Shift: 6pm-6am C/DNight Shift
Starting Pay:$18.77/hr
Additional Pay: D/C Shift is $3/hr

The Machine Technician I operates a minimum of one production machine in an area or department and performs basic preventative machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.

• May be responsible for breaking co-workers.
• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.

• Perform basic maintenance/controls, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.
• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
