Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to join our Target Rock team!

As our Machine Shop Supervisor, you will oversee and train union employees in daily manufacturing activities, monitoring performance against standards, quality, productivity, employee development, and budget objectives (e.g., cutting tools).

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary/Hourly Rate: $82,200 to $110,000

Note: The salary range is a general guideline for a position based in New York. Actual offer criteria include qualifications, experience, position scope, market, and business considerations.

Your Challenge

1. Assign daily manufacturing activities within the department.
2. Supervise and direct personnel according to company policies.
3. Monitor employee performance against standards and quality.
4. Inspect initial manufacturing setups and oversee work in-process for accuracy.
5. Ensure accurate and timely documentation and paperwork processing.
6. Report non-conforming hardware to the Plant Manager.
7. Conduct employee evaluations and interviews for department openings.
8. Apply company policies and labor agreements.
9. Maintain good housekeeping and report machine issues.
10. Conduct new employee orientation.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma
• US Citizenship
• CNC machining experience
• Manufacturing and supervision coursework
• Blueprint reading and inspection certification
• Experience with manufacturing cutting tools, fixturing, and knowledge of High Temperature and Nickel-Based alloys
