Job summary

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Shop operator & Welder to work in our state-of-the-art facility. The chosen candidate will be responsible for MIG/TIG welding and operating a production machine.

Hours: Monday – Thursday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Welder/Machine operators can expect a starting hourly compensation of between $24.00 and $31.00 per hour, or more, depending on skills, education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 3+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height indicators).
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Willing to obtain forklift and overhead crane licenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform high pressure and critical welding where safety and load requirements are essential.
• Work from complex drawings, prints, and welding symbols.
• Weld using MIG and TIG processes.
• Program, edit and run robotic welder programs.
• Set up and operate plasma cutter and all machine shop equipment.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance on production machines.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform daily cycle counts.
• Assist with product assemblies as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and Workplace Organization.

Machine Shop Welder & Operator – 2nd Shift

Internal employees must be in good standing and are expected to notify their current manger before applying.

What you will need:

• A high school diploma
• 3+ years of experience in MIG and/or TIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to work with micrometers, calipers, height indicators and other measuring equipment.
• Basic Computer Skills. Basic competency of MS Office or related products.
• Requires a broad knowledge of specialized practices systems or procedures.
• The ability to:
  • Obtain a forklift license
  • Obtain an overhead crane license
  • Lift 50 lbs. floor to waistStand all day
  • Push/ Pull maximum of 100 lbs. 100 ft.
  • Trunk Rotation 45 degrees from midline both directions
  • Reach less than 18 inches from midline both directions

What you will be doing:

• High pressure and code welding or other work involving critical safety and load requirements or welding where appearance is critical.
• Working from more complex specifications, drawings, prints and welding symbols.
• MIG and TIG Welding
• Program, Edit and Run Robotic Welder and programs.
• Set up and run plasma cutter.
• Set up and operate all machinery in machine shop.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance on production machines.
• Responsible for inventory accuracy and daily cycle counting.
• Assist with product assemblies as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required. Maintain high level of WPO (Workplace Organization).
