Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manager for Industrial & Building Systems / Aerospace Manufacturing in Santa Ana, onsite. The role leads maintenance across the site, overseeing facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, while budgeting and implementing capital improvements.

You will supervise hourly mechanics and facilities staff, establish PM programs, and coordinate vendor relationships. This role requires strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and a Lean mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience maintenance and facilities operations with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; in lieu of degree, 10+ years of progressive facilities and machinery maintenance experience accepted.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on NC/CNC equipment, lathes, mills, presses.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and facilities operations across the site, including building systems, grounds, production and non-production equipment, planning, budgeting, scheduling modifications and capital improvements.
• Supervise hourly maintenance mechanics and facilities personnel, including goal setting, training, performance management, coaching, scheduling, and safety.
• Administer preventive maintenance programs and lead diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic equipment failures.
• Direct preparation of specifications, layouts, drawings, and cost estimates; oversee purchasing of plant materials and facility supplies.
• Manage service contracts and vendor relationships (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, MRO, industrial services); act as primary contact for utilities and fire/life safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, OSHA regulations while driving Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Job Details

• Manage service contracts and vendor relationships (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, MRO, industrial services) and serve as primary contact for utilities and fire/life safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and OSHA regulations while driving Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Looking for

• Experience maintenance and facilities operations, experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• BS in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of progressive facilities and machinery maintenance experience considered
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on industrial machinery — NC/CNC equipment, lathes, mills, presses
• Supervisor / lead level considered

Experience in any of the following areas welcomed

• PLC / HMI programming and troubleshooting (ladder logic)
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Root cause analysis
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility repair trades
• Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
