Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Cheraw, South Carolina, is seeking a machine operator to set up and test operating machines, oversee ramp up, and support maintenance activities.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic measurement skills, and the ability to read and follow English instructions. We offer a hourly wage range of $21.20–$23.85 plus 2nd/3rd shift premium, plus medical/dental/vision, life insurance and 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to operate basic machinery.
• Good visual acuity.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up operating machines including first checks and test sequences.
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup and support Operators.
• Support maintenance in repair and prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product and submit for approval.
• Follow safety and PPE rules at all times.
