Job summary

HR Collaboration Group LLC in Michigan seeks a CNC Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair industrial machines at client sites and in the shop. You will review service orders, prepare tools, and ensure high-quality service and timely resolution.

• HS diploma or GED preferred; combination with education and experience will be considered.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review service orders and prepare tools for on-site or shop maintenance.

What You'll Do:

As the CNC Field Service Technician, you will review, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machines and equipment - at the clients location and at the shop - to ensure a high-level of quality service, repair, and resolution each and every time.

Your Accountabilities In The Role:

• Review's service orders and prepares the necessary tools to go onsite to perform preventative or repair mainte nance on machines and equipment in an efficient manner.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses machine issues, or pulls parts to diagnose at the shop, and reviews the status with the customer to move the project forward.
• Researches defective parts, as needed, to provide quality and competitive part pricing for the quoting process.
• Liaisons with the customer and Manager to relay the diagnosed obstacles, process, etc. for the Manager to provide a comprehensive estimate for the job.
• Completes the preventative maintenance, ordering of parts, and repair in a complete and timely manner to eliminate unnecessary down-time.
• Works with the customers to validate the operation of the machines to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
• Cleans, lubricates, and prepares tools and work equipment for the next work order proactively for ease of oper ations.
• Supports the team in projects to continually enhance the skills and success of each individual and the group.

Position Requirements:

• Education: HS diploma or GED preferred; will consider a combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a machine shop, operating large equipment; hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or CNC operating experience would be a plus. Certifications: N/A
• Functional Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude to be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair machines; basic math skills and common measuring skills are also required. Able to review, understand and utilize equipment manuals, schematics, and other blueprints. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. High attention to de tails and accuracy, making sure things are done right the first time.
• Technology Skills: Solid ability to use technology and systems; inputs data into tablets/PCs.
• Language Skills: Professional verbal and written skillset; able to present and inform customers and internal team members.
• Leadership/Behaviors: Strong customer and quality focus; self-directed and proactive, independent thinker to make logical decisions; high sense of urgency with the ability to collaborate and learn from others; professional, organized and keeps a clean work area. Other Important Information:

Position Status & Salary:

Hourly position with Overtime. Negotiable with proven expertise in the diverse areas. And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To:

CEO

Core Hours:

Monday – Friday typically; an occasional weekend based on customer needs; 6:30 – 4:30 pm typically; with a 40–48-hour work week on average

Travel:

Day Travel to regional customers; up to 5% overnight trips per year.

Work Conditions:

Working around heavy industrial machinery; requires steel-toed shoes and other protective equipment. Will drive a forklift and scissor lift after trained and certified.
