Job summary

Schaller Corporation, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician to join our Chesterfield, MI stamping facility. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production presses and related equipment, conduct preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

The role requires reading mechanical prints, welding and fabricating as needed, and maintaining safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production stamping presses.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints.
• Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled repairs of production stamping presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints to guide repairs.
• Weld, fabricate and complete repairs as required.
• Maintain safety practices and communicate with team and vendors.
