Job summary

Schaller Corporation, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, seeks skilled Machine Repair Technicians for our Chesterfield, MI stamping facilities. Openings on AFTERNOON & MIDNIGHT SHIFTS; responsibilities include repairs during production, PM, and troubleshooting circuits.

Candidates should read mechanical prints, weld and fabricate as needed, and be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License (hi-lo). Wages commensurate with experience; benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production stamping presses and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Must be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License (hi-lo) to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs of stamping presses and auxiliary equipment during production.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints and weld/fabricate as needed.

Immediate openings are available on AFTERNOON & MIDNIGHT SHIFTS

Machine Repair Job Duties Include:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production stamping presses and auxiliary equipment during production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance (PM) on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints.
• Building maintenance.
• Machining as required.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Experience with Minster presses and Wayne Trail transfer units a plus.
• Proficient use of industrial hand and shop tools to complete tasks, especially a multimeter.
• Demonstrate good work practices to complete jobs timely, accurately, and above all, safely.
• Communicate and interact efficiently and effectively with all levels of employees within the company and vendors.
• Must be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License (hi-lo) to perform job duties.
