Job summary

Jayco Inc in Middlebury, Indiana, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to maintain and repair millroom and production equipment, including saws and CNC routers, to minimize downtime.

You will troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and PLC systems, perform preventative maintenance, manage spares, and support improvement of machinery reliability. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years maintenance/machine repair.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to work in awkward positions up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to shift priorities based on critical failures.
• Experience with VFDs preferred.
• Experience with Onsrud, Weeke, Holzma equipment preferred.
• Experience with bag presses and glue applicators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and other components of industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Organize and maintain inventory of critical spares in designated storage.
• Install and repair lift tables and accessories.
• Collaborate with electricians and PLCs in lamination rooms.
• Review failures using blueprints and schematics.
• Work with group leaders to improve reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage wiring/controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to restore production during downtime.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Job description

Purpose:

Maintain and repair of Millroom or other production equipment including saws, CNC routers and other industrial machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and Repair Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical and other components of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance to minimize production downtime and failures
• Organize and Maintain inventory of critical spares and replacement parts in a designated storage area
• Installation and repair of lift tables and accessories
• Troubleshoot and repair cooperatively with electricians PLC’s in lamination rooms
• Review and Diagnose failures using blueprints and schematics
• Work cooperatively with group leaders to improve machinery reliability and uptime
• Troubleshoot and Repair electrical and PLC low voltage wiring/controls
• Working in collaboration with other departments to restore production or secure planned downtime
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisors or managers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Requires 3-5 years maintenance/machine repair
• Require operating knowledge of multimeter, amp clamps, megger and other electrical equipment
• Requires strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics and prints
• Requires the ability to work in awkward or uncomfortable positions up to 50% of the time
• Requires the ability to shift priorities on the fly based on critical failures
• Ability to troubleshoot and program VFD’s preferred
• Previous Experience with Onsrud Routers, Weeke Routers, Holzma Saws highly preferred
• Previous Experience with bag presses and glue applicators highly preferred
